November 24, 2018 0708 hours. The Ronkonkoma Fire Department is dispatched to a report of a vehicle fire in front of 20 Lake Terrace Road. Units arrive to find a fire in the trash compartment of a garbage truck. The truck was being used to pickup bags of leaves and the leaves were burning. The truck was dumped and firefighters extinguished the fire. A payload and dump truck were called in to pickup the debris and to clear the roadway. Buff N Stuff Photos
