West Sayville FD-Fire on Joni Lane

February 20, 2022 2151 hours. The West Sayville Fire Department is dispatched to 122 Joni Lane in regard to a report of a fence on fire. Units arrive to find that the fire had extended from the fence to a large shed in the rear yard. A working fire was transmitted bring in the Bohemia FD for the RIT, Sayville FD with an engine and the Bayport FD with a Tower Ladder. The East Islip FD sent an engine top cover the district for the duration. The Town of Islip Haz-Mat team also responded as did Sayville Community Ambulance. There were no reported injuries and all units were back in service within 90 minutes. The Town of Islip Fire Marshals Office is investigating. Photo via GroupMe.
