February 13, 2022 1404 hours. The Bay Shore Fire Department responds to a report of a house fire with occupants trapped at 7 South Bay Avenue. Firefighters arrive to find an active fire in a one and a half story 2400 square foot dwelling. Crews from Bay Shore and West Islip Fire Departments extinguished the fire, searched the rest of the structure, vented and overhauled. The Brentwood Fire Department sent an engine to cover. Bay Shore Brightwaters Ambulance stood by at the scene. One firefighter was evaluated at the scene. Islip FD sent an ambulance to stand by at Bay Shore FD.
