February 12, 2022 0706 hours. The Mastic Fire Department is dispatched to a report of a house fire at 929 Mastic Road. Units arrive to find heavy fire in the attic of a single story private dwelling. Firefighters made an aggressive interior attack and were able to knock the fire down quickly.
Center Moriches was requested for a RIT, Mastic Beach FD for an engine and Yaphank sent a unit to cover. Mastic Ambulance and Shirley Ambulance were on scene. The fire was placed under control by 0730 hours. There were no reported injuries. Fire Marshals from the Town of Brookhaven are investigating.
