Middle Island FD-House fire on Oakcrest Avenue

January 28, 2022. 1049 hours. The Middle Island Fire Department responds with assistance from the Coram Fire Dept (Ladder) Gordon Heights (engine) and Brookhaven National Lab (RIT). to a house fire at 26 Oakcrest Avenue. Units arrive to find smoke pushing out the eaves of a single family private dwelling. Crews make entry, find the fire in the basement and extinguish same without issue. There were no reported injuries. The Town of Brookhaven Fire Marshals Office is handling the investigation. photo by 13-35? on GroupMe.
