Brookhaven FD-house fire on Sagewood Drive in Shirley

January 27, 2022 0410 hours. Brookhaven Fire Department was activated for a house on fire in the vicinity of Sagewood Drive and Thornwood Drive in Shirley. Units arrived to find the front of #17 Sagewood Drive. Crews knocked down the fire with one line and then opened up to check for any extension. Thanks to their fast response and quick work, fire damage was confined to the exterior front of the house. Mutual aid was provided by Mastic (engine) and Mastic Beach (engine). Shirley Ambulance was also on scene. Fire Marshals from the Town of Brookhaven handed the investigation.
