January 20, 1993 0055 hours. The Hauppauge Fire Department is dispatched to a report of a house on fire at 1420 Townline Road. Dispatchers soon realized that this call was in the Nesconset Fire District and added them to the ticket. This was a fire in a two story dwelling and there was extensive damage. The Smithtown Fire Department sent an engine to Hauppauge to cover.
