Centereach FD-house fire on Catalina Court

August 25, 2019 1749 hours. The Centereach and Selden Fire Departments were dispatched to a house fire at 8 Catalina Court off Lake Grove Street in Centereach. Units arrived to find heavy fire throughout an occupied two story private dwelling. Multiple lines were stretched and operated. Additional mutual aid was provided by surrounding departments. One firefighter was transported to the hospital with a back injury. Fire Marshals from the Town of Brookhaven are handling the investigation.
