March 23, 2021 1520 hours. The Commack Fire Department and Commack Volunteer Ambulance responded to collision involving a car and a tractor trailer at the intersection of Jericho Turnpike and Indian Head Road. Firefighters arrived to find the driver of a red sedan heavily pinned with serious injuries. FD personnel extricated the victim and she was stabilized and transported by CVAC to a waiting police helicopter and then removed to the hospital. Suffolk County Police Detectives are investigating.
