January 5, 2020 1620 hours. Commack Fire Department, Commack Ambulance and the Dix Hills Fire Department are all dispatched to a traffic collision with injuries at the intersection of Daly Road and Jericho Turnpike. Units arrived to find a crash involving multiple vehicles, one of which left the roadway and struck a utility pole. Personnel from the Commack and Dix Hills Fire Departments removed the two passenger side doors and the drivers side back door to allow Commack Ambulance personnel to enter the vehicle, stabilize the lone occupant and remove them from the vehicle. CVAC personnel evaluated the occupants of the other vehicles as well and thankfully only one party was injured. That subject was transported by CVAC ambulance to Southside Hospital.
