Nesconset-Shooting at Mugs Pub

March 3, 1994 From Newsday:
Gunfire erupted at a Smithtown bar early yesterday, but no injuries were reported, Suffolk police said. Detectives are investigating the shooting, which took place around 12:50 a.m. at Mugs Pub at 69 Smithtown Blvd., said Sgt. Michael Komorowski of the Fourth Squad.

“One shot was fired inside,” Komorowski said. The rest were fired in a side parking lot and along Smithtown Boulevard, police said. The suspect fled in a red minivan, police said.

Though more than 40 people were reportedly in the bar when the shooting occurred, they fled before officers responded to the scene, police said.

Investigators ask anyone with information about the incident to call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS.
