Hauppauge FD-Fire at Sweetwater’s Restaurant

February 17, 2005 Fire reported at approximately 1730 hours. The address was 470 Wheeler Road. Fire started in the grease ducts in the kitchen. The restaurant sustained extensive damage. Restaurant was owned at the time by Jimmy Gerrain. All 150 people within the building safely exited. Restaurant had been open as Sweetwater’s for 5 years. Smithtown News 3-10-2005
