The Halesite Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a house fire on  East Neck Road. The fire caused extensive damage to the dwelling. There were no injuries. Mutual aid provided by the Centerport, Greenlawn, Cold Spring Harbor and Huntington Manor Fire Departments. The Suffolk County Police Department Arson Squad is handling the investigation.
