Units arrive to find that a truck left the roadway, striking a concrete light pole, but not before bringing down a utility pole and wires in front of CVS. Thankfully, the occupant of the vehicle self extricated as the crash resulted in a fire that destroyed the Chevy pickup truck.\u00a0 FD units stood fast until PSEG arrived and confirmed that power was removed from the wires. At that point the fire was extinguished. EMS handled patient care. The road was not reopened until some time later in the day to the the extensive cleanup and repairs by PSEG.
