March 4, 1993. Scott Desantolo 20, was arrested by Suffolk police after allegedly being observed trying to set a dumpster on fire near the Mobil Gas station which used to be on the SW corner of 347 and Terry Road (Chase Bank now sits on that property). Police were staking out the area due to a rash of dumpster fires on Main Street, Route 347 and on Route 111. Desantolo was spotted by a Highway Patrol Officer who was in an unmarked vehicle.
