The North Babylon Fire Company was dispatched to a report of a house fire at 717 Lakeway Drive. Units arrive to find heavy smoke on the ground level of a two story high ranch style private dwelling. After a quick search they located the fire in a bedroom. One line was stretched and the fire was quickly knocked down. The fire was placed under control at approximately 2125 hours. North Babylon was assisted at the scene by a quint from the Wyandanch Fire Company and a RIT from the West Babylon Fire Department.  Wyandanch-Wheatly Heights Ambulance also sent a unit to the scene.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>February 27, 2022. 2053 hours.
