While out on an MVA in front of Blydenburgh Park, the Hauppauge Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a garbage truck on fire on Autumn Drive between Pinoak Lane and Terrace Drive. Units arrive to find that the driver of the vehicle had discovered a fire in the trash compartment and dumped the load in the road. Firefighters assisted by a payloader from the Town of Smithown, extinguished the fire.
